Sara Place combines clinical expertise with a compassionate approach to help individuals and couples.
Sara began her professional journey as an art teacher in an alternative school, where students shared their stories not just through words, but through their art. Unsure if she was offering the right guidance, she turned to the school counsellor, who offered a piece of wisdom that would change her life: "It's not about what you say, it's about how you listen."
That simple truth became the foundation of Sara's approach as a clinical counsellor. She discovered that meaningful connection begins with deep, attuned listening. Over time, she came to understand that when we know what to listen for, we open the door to genuine connection, empathy, and love, both with others and within ourselves.
For the past 20 years, Sara has worked with individuals, couples, families, and professional teams, helping them strengthen their most important relationships and show up as the best version of themselves. Sara brings her extensive training in evidence-based and skill-based modalities, along with a deep understanding of neurobiology, attachment, and relational dynamics, to The BetterLove Project courses.
Sara's approach centres on the belief that healing happens in connection. Our emotional health, behaviour, and sense of purpose are all deeply rooted in our relational systems. Through The BetterLove courses, Sara helps users understand their attachment histories and identify internal blocks, enabling them to cultivate meaningful change and deeper self-awareness.
Sara's work is about more than symptom reduction—it's about character development, authentic connection, and creating lives aligned with who we truly are. At the heart of it all is a simple but powerful truth: how we relate is how we heal.
